LEVIATHAN 2.0 aims to reimagine an existing oil rig site, nowadays dedicated to fossil fuel extraction, into an innovative, research and education hub.
By repurposing the offshore infrastructure, the project
seeks to contribute to the advancement of knowledge, promote environmental consciousness, and foster collaborative initiatives focused on renewable energy, marine conservation, and sustainable practices.
The project includes:
• Marine Research Center: The facility will facilitate comprehensive research into marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and saltwater growing.
• Eco-Tourism and Public Engagement: LEVIATHAN 2.0 will welcome visitors and eco-tourists interested in learning about sustainable practices and marine conservation. Interpretive centers and observation decks will allow guests to witness research process in action, fostering public understanding and support for environmental protection.
