Planning a public building in the Veterans Housing Complex in Ramat Gan, a neighborhood completely separated from the bustle of major traffic arteries which serve as a buffer between it and the city. The site is on an avenue immersed in green and pleasant for wandering. The design aspired to integrate the building into its surroundings, creating an interior space that is visible only to users.
The planning program is an early childhood center and a local Maternal and Child Health Clinic (commonly referred to in Israel as ‘Tipat Halav’), so it is designed to create security and a sense of inviting alongside intimacy and protection. The building was designed while maintaining a low level relative to the street and most of the activity takes place on the excavated levels as a protected inner world.
